Psychiatric care that comes to you — in-home visits in Salem, Oregon
If leaving the house is the part you can’t do right now, that doesn’t have to be the end of it. Our clinician can meet you at home — the same evaluation and follow-up care we provide in the office, in the place where you already feel safest.
Open 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, seven days a week Home visits are scheduled by phone
When the trip is the hardest part
Plenty of people want help and would keep every appointment — if only the appointment didn’t require leaving home. In-home visits exist for exactly that gap. A few of the people they tend to serve:
Severe anxiety or agoraphobia
When panic starts at the front door — or in the parking lot — an office visit can feel impossible. Care can start where you are instead, and grow from there.
Limited mobility or chronic illness
If getting into a car, through a waiting room and back again costs you a full day of energy, we’d rather spend that energy on the visit itself.
Caregivers who can’t step away
When you’re looking after a child, a parent or a partner around the clock, your own care keeps sliding to the bottom of the list. It doesn’t have to.
Older adults
For many older adults, transportation — not willingness — is what stands between them and consistent psychiatric care. We can remove that piece entirely.
Anyone for whom the trip is the barrier
You don’t need a “good enough” reason. If the trip to a clinic is what’s stopping you from getting help, that is the reason — and it’s one we can solve.
Not sure a home visit is the right fit? If getting seen quickly is the bigger worry, we also offer same-day and evening appointments in Salem — open 8am–8pm, seven days a week.
The same care, in your space
An in-home visit isn’t a lighter version of psychiatric care. It’s the same clinician-led evaluation and follow-up we provide at our Salem office — the whole story, not a symptom checklist — just without the waiting room.

You call or text
Home visits are scheduled by phone rather than online, because we want to hear a little about what’s going on and confirm your address before we book anything. No long forms, no commitment.
- 02
We check availability
Whether we can come to you depends on where you live and on the clinician’s calendar. We’ll give you a straight answer — and if a home visit isn’t possible, we’ll offer a video visit or an office time instead.

Your clinician comes to you
A board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner meets you at home for a thorough, unhurried evaluation — then you plan the next steps together, at your pace.
One honest note: we can’t promise a home visit to every address on every day. Availability genuinely varies. What we can promise is a plain answer when you ask, and a workable alternative when the answer is no. Questions first? Reach us any way you like through our contact page.
Salem, Keizer, and nearby communities
Home visits center on Salem and reach into nearby communities — Keizer and the surrounding areas of Marion and Polk counties. Exactly how far we can travel on a given week depends on scheduling, so if you’re unsure whether your address is in range, the simplest thing is to ask us.
And of course, the office door stays open. If some visits at home and some in person sounds right, you can mix the two freely.

Call or text 503-395-8614Too far for a home visit? There’s still a way.
Our clinician is licensed in both Oregon and Washington, so if you live beyond our home-visit range, a telehealth video visit brings the same care to your screen — no travel at all.
Real appointments, not check-ins
A home visit can carry almost everything an office visit can. Most people use them for one of three things — or a combination that shifts over time.
Psychiatric evaluation
A full first evaluation with time for the whole story — your history, what’s been happening lately, and what you want to change. Diagnosis and a plan come out of the conversation, not a checklist.
Medication follow-ups
Ongoing visits to see how a medication is working, watch for side effects and adjust carefully. Read more about medication management in Salem.
Therapy
Evidence-based psychotherapy can happen in your living room as readily as in ours. See how we approach therapy in Salem.
The one exception is Deep TMS. The BrainsWay equipment isn’t portable, so those sessions happen at our Salem clinic — but a home or video visit is often how people first talk through whether it’s a fit. Learn more about Deep TMS in Salem.
Questions about in-home visits
Is in-home psychiatric care the same quality as an office visit?
Yes. You meet with the same board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who sees patients at our Salem office, and the visit follows the same structure — a thorough evaluation or an unhurried follow-up, with a plan you build together. The only thing that changes is the address. Many people actually talk more openly at home, because they aren’t managing the stress of an unfamiliar setting at the same time.
Are in-home visits covered by insurance?
It varies by plan. We accept most major insurance, including the Oregon Health Plan, Providence, Aetna and UnitedHealthcare — but whether your specific plan covers a home-based visit depends on your coverage. Call us before your first visit and we’ll check it for you, so there are no surprises. Sliding-scale options and superbills are also available if you’re paying out of pocket — call for current rates.
What areas do you cover for home visits?
We serve Salem and nearby communities, including Keizer and surrounding parts of Marion and Polk counties. Availability depends on distance and on the clinician’s schedule, so the honest answer is: call and ask about your address. If a home visit isn’t practical where you live, we’ll offer a telehealth video visit instead — we see patients by video anywhere in Oregon and Washington.
Can I switch between home, office and video visits?
Yes, and people often do. Some start at home while leaving the house feels impossible, then move to office visits as things improve. Others mix video and in-person visits around work or caregiving. Your care moves with you — same clinician, same records, same plan — whichever format a given week calls for.
The first step can happen from your couch.
Call or text and tell us that leaving home is hard right now — we hear it more often than you’d think. Together we’ll figure out whether a home visit, a video visit, or something else fits best.
